I'm not a fan of the dealership, sales or service but the cars alright and does the job, its on a lease with service pack so no real choice where to take it. Previously had a Juke Nismo for 2 years without issue other then a recall on front shocks.

We do like the look of the 3008 but still got a couple years left with the Qashqai.

I still love the Qashqai, ticks off loads of my requirements, just very disappointed with my vehicle.

I think all dealerships have issues. I can't believe the poor service I have had as I have gone around looking at new cars recently. It doesnt matter if you are spending £5k or £50k, you would think that they would make the effort to show an interest!

Out of the 10-12 showrooms I have recently visited 3 or 4 of them have made an effort (and suprisingly, 2 of those were Peugeot garages!).

If they can't be interested to sell me the car in the first place, what service are they going to provide after?!

I've got a 2018 GTD,  I wouldn't think that at all, it's pretty conservative styling.  It's a good fun car, goes well, is well built, pretty quick.  Just overpriced like most German cars, it's a company car so I'm not bothered.  Great car, but expensive if badges mean very little to you.  I;d imagine a similar Focus is more fun to drive though.

I've had the GTD for 18 months now. Brilliant car, drives better than my Scirocco and is very comfortable.

I think all VWs all look very understated, borderline boring in some cases. They’re just very practical, comfortable decent cars.

Certainly not a car I’d say you need to act your age and not your shoe size!!

Just to confirm, after talking to the 2 local Peugeot dealerships, both confirmed a three year 60k warranty provided by the manufacturer and confirmed it in an email to me (I did point out to them that the downloaded literature on the 3008 had 2 year manufacturer and 1 year dealership on it!).

Thanks for the clarification!

Wonder what that literature is all about then? Maybe old policy? What a ridiculous idea anyway..

You will generally encounter this attitude if the salesman concerned gets a whiff that it is going to be a company car. In most cases, (not all I'll grant you), "company car" means that you are test driving from a long list of vehicles based on monthly payment from your leasing company and the salesman has not a hope in hell of supplying you the vehicle.
While he is spending time with you carrying out a test drive etc. he could be missing out on the prospective "live" customer who walks onto the forecourt and actually "buys" a car.
As I say, not all cases of company car buyers are like this... you may have a business locally who prefer to buy from a local garage, but most company cars are supplied via a leasing company who will buy from a main dealer miles away.

Oh, I agree. However, most of them were not interested enough to find out if it was a personal purchase or company car purchase!

And we are one of those exeptions that buy our cars (usually from local garages if at all possible) which i do, if given the chance, explain to the sales person.
