Good providing you haven't seen the original

If you have seen either the 1945 original film or the stage play, then this is a good film to watch. I am sad to say that if they depart so far away from the original, then give it a new name. Then add it is based on A Blithe Spirit.

What is missing from the original is the wonderful dialog of the time. Also with the ending being so different it was a bit too fluffy for me.

They also ruined one of the characters for me, I won't say which one but if you are a Margaret Rutherford fan you will know who I mean.

It has lost wit and became a bit of a parody in places that did not make sense. Not the worst film I have seen but sadly another film made to make only money and not enjoyment for those that love Noel Coward.
