I just want to say that I'm coming form LG LM6xx and comparing with this TV (HX850) this is whole different ball game, amazing HD no dropping frames so smooth, just finished watching benfica - chealse OMG hughe differance just uncompareable, I just can't believe what sh*t LG was selling I made my point to LG selling staff how bad LG tvs are I've reduced price from 1600 euros to 1400 euros and I've paid difference of 400 euros from LM640 to HX850 and I don't regred single cent of that, I can't stop watching Sony HX850 with LG I couldn't watch TV simple as that, I've tested LM6xx series and LA6xx series it's just awful compering to Sony perfection.
Cheers everybody.(sorry on my english it is not my native language)

Has anyone else had this problem?Until recently, pressing the 'Guide' button on the remote has brought up the Freeview EPG (which btw I always thought was pretty good - up to Sky's standard if not better). But now the same button brings up some rubbish video search page, powered by Gracenote - it's a grid with channels along the top and times going down, and no content!.
I can still get to the Freeview EPG by drilling though the crossbar menus, but that's not at all convenient.Anyone know if/how I can get the 'Guide' button to bring up the Freeview epg again?
FWIW, I've got a 40" HX853, had it since December.I first noticed the change after a firmware update a month or two ago (not yesterday's), though I can't be sure if the firmware update caused the problem as I mostly watch via the Sky box.
Thanks for any advice...

I didn't know this until I saw someone mention it on another forum, but the YouTube app has finally been updated with the current version.
BUT the old YouTube app is still there too, so you might need to replace it in your favourites if that's how you roll.

That's really weird - the guide and guide button still works as normal for me. Does everything else still work normally, and can you get into the guide the long way round - pressing home and then going to the TV menu?

Hi Fuzzbap, thanks for the reply.Yes, I can get into the Freeview guide via Home and the menus, but not directly via the Guide button on the remote.I had assumed Sony had reprogrammed the Guide button function in the April software update, but that should affect everyone.Weird.
I had also wondered if the function of the Guide button is user-programmable, but I haven't found anywhere to change it in the menus.
Just had a thought - I'll try the Guide button on my iPhone Media Remote app and see what that does.
If anyone has other ideas in the meantime, I'm all ears!

Just tried the Guide button on the iPhone app and it behaves the same ad the remote; ie it brings up the Gracenote Video search app instead of the freeview epg.
Am I the only one seeing this behaviour?

Howdy. Go to Home Menu - System Settings - General Setup - GUIDE Key Behaviour and change to Launch Guide
