£40! What (procedurally generated) planet are they on?!

A little disappointed that the exploratory side of the game may be hampered by the fact that it's all about staying alive and collecting resources to do so.I guess though that was the only kind of objective they could shoe-horn into a procedurally generated universe - survive.

Ive been really keen on this up until today, the price doesn't bother me, I've spent more on far worse (Yes, I own SW Battlefront Ultimate edition).. just doesnt feel like theres going to be a lot of structure to it and above all, space games are always better as an MP experience.

Find sexy alien ladies to mate with like Captain Kirk? I would have pre-ordered a procedurally generated Leisure Suit Larry type game.

Another Game exclusive for the limited edition. You can buy direct from the developer, so most of the profit go straight to Hello Games.

So the game is multiplayer only but you're unlikely to see anyone else due to the sheer number of planets and systems? I can't see any mention of a single player mode.

Would hate to fire this up six months after launch and find out that all the planets I approach have been claimed and named after male and female sex organs by the great unwashed.

Nope. Single player. But it needs a connection to send data to the servers. Planets naming etc. Dint think you need to always be online either.

Cant decide whether this has the ability to be amazing or totally boring. Single player with no potential to join up with others etc.

The solo aspect does kind of appeal to me (that's how generally play Elite), but if there's not much to do then that may put me off slightly. I'll remain on the fence until it's actually out and there's some feedback from you guys data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

It appeals to me too, I like exploring on my own.........but it needs to be around the £15 mark to even consider it.
