That's what I'm hoping. The draw distance on the PS4 footage looks poor (IMO), so I'm at least expecting less pop-up scenery in a better resolution (and maybe a few nicer visual effects). I doubt anything else would or could change (vegetation density etc) being that it's procedurally-generated.
It’s the art style that has me interested in this, however I’m spending far too much time in ED to take on another space game at the moment...and £39.99 on Steam is a bit much for what others have quite rightly described as a tech demo. Once it drops to around £15 I'll probably pick it up, if only for the visual appeal.
Im still holding out hope that this is going to be good.I think it looks great from the footage ive seen, Im not a massive fan of the whole crafting and hoarding thing as it generally comes across like a way to pad out a game with little else to do.
I've been putting a lot of time into Elite Dangerous lately and two of thing things I don't like about that is the occasionally slow pace when your travelling around from system to system and the steep learning curve, kinda hoping this plays out like that but with less distance between actual action.
WTH! £40! I thought it was going to be about half that! Have they even shown any gameplay from the PC version? Is it a port or was it designed for PCs from the start?
We have no idea. There are no review copies. Obvious red flag right there.
