I tested it on both series of People Like Us which are currently the same price and cheapest at Amazon.

Flubit came back with Fireworks offers 3.5 hours later, one 14.7% discount and the other 5.9% discount; so looks like pretty much business as usual for Amazon links. Okay if Amazon already cheapest, or within a few % of being cheapest but otherwise not likely to be worth the effort.

MY LOTR was also from Fireworks which just happen to be a Flubit company.

Yes. The only offers I've ever had that said anything else were from 666 Media.

They've blogged again today about the changes:
Why the heck do companies do that? - Flubiblog

I had to read through it several times to try to understand what they are doing.

Their response is insulting in my eyes haha

Personally I couldn't care less about the time it takes to get the quote! people were moaning about a few hours for gods sake!!! them morons are the ones who seemed to have messed up Flubbit.
If I save cash I do not mind waiting a day or two for my quote, sadly lots of people do not feel the same and have now ruined the site. They are to blame fully in my eyes.

Doesn't seem to be working too well for me.

Before the changes I was offered a 15.5% discount against an Amazon price (which was the cheapest in the marketplace). I let that deal expire and resubmitted it today (Amazon still being the cheapest and also the same price as previously) and now I was offered a 6% discount.

Interesting...

That's not really new lfletcher; their offers have always tended to decline the more you use them, although there's still enough randomness for customers to be able to get better offers by trying again.

Having done it a few times in the past I've tended to get similar or better offers. It's the first time the offer has reduced by so much.

Either way, for receiving a 50p saving from going with Flubit as opposed to direct to the normal retailer (and receiving the item a lot quicker) I don't think it's worth the hassle.

Flubit must have blinkers on currently - have seen nothing but bad reactions to the Amazon restrictions on their posts, twitter and elsewhere.
Suprisingly there have been no further update from them following the backlash.....

Most savvy consumers know Amazon are rarely the cheapest and this also restricts the products available too by just using one site.
I think only 1 of my 20 odd flubbits were from Amazon links

I guess the average schmo just looks at amazon only and copies link to Flubit and is happy enough to proceed. The same people that pay £20 for a blu ray in store at HMV

Not like Amazon has enough of a monopoly already on media products already given no HMV/Play
