Stupid Curry Question?!

Sooo..
It's time for one of my more stupid questions again data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
I've had a fair few curries in my 20 years of existence.
However, recently, coming from Bradford, and having tasted several curries from the likes of places such as Akbars, Mumtaz, Shimla Spice, Agraar, I went out for a curry in Penzance, at a Place called the 'Taj Mahal'
This was a little Nepalese place, and it was literally the nicest curry I've ever had. They skewered the chicken first, and instead of loads of little bits of chicken, there was 4 or 5 big bits and lots more creamier sauce.
Does anyone have any idea what this sort of curry is??
Is it a tandoori curry?

Tandoori just referes to the clay oven things are cooked in, although I believe a lot of places sell tandoori chicken without cooking it in a tandoor.
As for the curry - hard to even guess at what you had, perhaps you could remember what you had from the menu?

I assume it's this place?

Sounds like the chicken was done in a tandoor oven.
I.E. chunks put onto skewers and then put into mega-hot oven.
The sauce can then be anything they want.
Regardless of the curry sauce I'm having, I always ask for my chicken to be done in the tandoor oven first.
I just like the chargrilled flavour/texture, compared with chicken that is fried within the sauce.

All the regular curry houses that I frequent do the 4 or 5 bigger pieces rather than lots of little ones - done in a tandoor as FZR400RRSP suggests.

Cheers,

Nigel
