Too right,a proper sunday roast is the best meal of the week.
I couldn't imagine eating a curry for sunday lunch. You might aswell have a sunday donor kebab data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

You've got a funny view of curry.
Only to be eaten when drunk, and classed the same as a donor kebab.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
I'm going for curry on Saturday as a proper dress-up, night out meal.
I.E. we'll be going in sober and enjoying the food.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

well with stuff like curry houses and kebab houses, is that yes if you find yourself a nice South Asian or Turkish place, you can have yourself a very nice and brilliant quality meal. If you go to a really cheap place then of course, you are going to get something that is being made with 'mystery meat'

To me a curry is on par with a kebab. Not something i would even consider as a proper meal.Only been out for an Indian meal once and the smell was to overpowering for me.
I find it strange that people would have a curry for their sunday lunch.I assume most of you doing so are from an asian background?

The good old 'elephant's leg'.
As for mystery meat in curries, at least it's all breast now.
I'm old enough to remember when menus had 'Breast of chicken xx extra'.

As others have said, they don't all smell the same.
How can a mild curry made with cream/fruit smell the same as a spicy one made with tons of garlic/chillies?
Daft that you're lumping all curry as being 'smelly'.

I'm from the west coast of Ireland. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 I just prefer the taste of a nice curry to a plate of potatoes, meat and veg. I don't mind a roast, but given the choice I'd always go for a curry.

I've never had a cream/fruit curry so i wouldnt know.As to the smell,if you have one at home the whole house smells of it.That's what i find too overpowering. When the family come over they often have a take away, and you can still smell it the next day.I think that's what puts me off.
