well with stuff like curry houses and kebab houses, is that yes if you find yourself a nice South Asian or Turkish place, you can have yourself a very nice and brilliant quality meal. If you go to a really cheap place then of course, you are going to get something that is being made with 'mystery meat'
To me a curry is on par with a kebab.Not something i would even consider as a proper meal.Only been out for an Indian meal once and the smell was to overpowering for me.
I find it strange that people would have a curry for their sunday lunch.I assume most of you doing so are from an asian background?

As others have said, they don't all smell the same.
How can a mild curry made with cream/fruit smell the same as a spicy one made with tons of garlic/chillies?

I've never had a cream/fruit curry so i wouldnt know.As to the smell,if you have one at home the whole house smells of it.That's what i find too overpowering.When the family come over they often have a take away,and you can still smell it the next day.I think that's what puts me off.
