Most 'Ethnic' restaurants/take away places aren't really authentic at all as they all have had to alter their dishes to suit the UK market and it's the same in say the U.S. Indeed, when I've been in the states, the Chinese take out there tastes completely different to a Chinese take out in the UK.

The first curry i ever had would have put most people off for life.It was swimming in oil and it was 'yucky'.

I'm not a big curry eater as im not that keen on the smell,i probably haven't had one in over a year.

I only eat Indian food when i've been out for a drink data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 then i love it.

I didn't like the Chinese food in the US.I went for Chinese as everyone else went for indian. They said the indian was crap too data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Prefer a Sunday roast?
A nice big plate of bland?

Yes, you can.
With a proper Sunday curry.

If it's bland someone ain't cooking it right.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

No, it's inherently bland.
This doesn't mean badly cooked, or bad ingredients.
There's really nothing wrong, inaccurate or unfair with calling a Sunday roast bland.

Have to agree with FZR - give me a tasty, flavoursome curry over a Sunday roast any time. I'm not a fan of stodge.
