If they do it a lamb Ceylon is pretty good.Dark brown onion based gravy with a hint of coconut. Medium hot
Very tasty with a garlic naan

If you aren't big on sauces a shashlick might be worth a go as well. Sizzling on a skillet with onions and peppers

Absolutely about the Dosa.In fact if you live near croyden there is a shop called Chennai Dosa ChennaiDosa.com
I have an idli pan from Chennai as well, as my husband loves them for breakfast (I'm more of a dosa fan)

I go there pretty often.Only downside is no booze license and no BYOB.Food is awesome.
They have branches all over London/SE England, including Tooting, Wembley and E London (I think).
Try the Chili Fried Idli next time you're in (it is a little hot) and the Onion Rava Masala Dosa.

You don't have the South London Tamil invasion data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
It sometimes feels like every petrol station is staffed by a South Indian or Sri Lankan person.
But it does mean good food from that region is easy to come by.

Isn't idli mix some sort of cornflour with other added ingredients (salt, sugar, etc)? My mum makes it at home with normal ingredients but yeah the Indian ones may taste slightly different
