The pic with your missus looks like you've just boarded the Rapids at Drayton Manor park. You're doing a dry run, 'visualizing' before the race lol
Rope pulling looks fun. I'm not surprised your grip is so strong

I was pretty fried today, after Saturday we were up North with wifey's family and I didn't get much sleep! From watching past videos of my lifting I need to get faster at everything so there will be low reps and loads of speed on the main movements. As a result I'm fecked loving training for speed though so I'll stick with it for a couple of months.
Trap bar dead - 55x10, 55x10, 125x3, 145x3,x3,x3,x3,x3,x3,x3,x3,x3,x3
Pendlay Row - 70x10, 70x10, 70x10, 100x10 - Got egged on by wifey and her PT, ended up surprising myself!
Plate lat pull down - 80x10, 80x10, 100x10, 100x10
Totally wiped out, my lower back is in pieces and like a fool I've arranged to train legs with a bigger boy tomorrow, so I can see me hobbling around all week!

I was more surprised than anyone, 70 felt easy and apparently looked it then I got accused of skiving so had a point to prove! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

First go at comp weight for Mrs C on her weak events, she did awesome although both the girls struggled with the yoke as they don't have much in the way of shoulders to rest it on! I did a load of strict log pressing at the start and got close to a new pb, my knee clicked when I dipped on the first go and it really put me off, will get it next time. Really pleased with how well I'm progressing at the moving events, I'm getting loads quicker and once the extra few kgs are gone from around my waist I'll get quicker.
Log ftoh - 40x10, x10, 60x10, 70x10, 80x5, 90x3, 100x2, 105x1, 110x1, 115 fail
Farmers - 75x30m, 95x30, 95x30, 95x30
Yoke - 190x30m, 190x30, 190x30, 190x40 - 10m shuttle runs to practice turns
A little bit of fun on the yoke with Mart carrying the girls

lol the ladies look like they were having fun, like kids on a merry-go-round
"come on you son of a bitch!! leg drive!" haha I like that. That's motivation!
Your strict pressing looks solid. Elbows nice and forward. Good groove going there.

Thanks, I'm going in the right direction slowly. I'm a bit concerned about my knee, it cut my dancing with a 2 year old short this evening at a family friends birthday party!! Currently sat in bed with an ice pack on each knee and feet elevated whilst eating ibuprofen.

Great time tonight, we've persuaded 4 other people to join in the novice comp in November from our gym so lots of encouragement being shouted around the gym as people got to grips with events and only one nose bleed! Mrs C trained like a demon, I'm so proud of how she's gritting her teeth and attacking everything, as a result she's making massive improvements week on week. The comments she was getting doing axle deads from the bigger boys were brilliant!
My knees are swollen right up and feeling really stiff, so I intended to take a gentler approach to things. After a while I stopped noticing it and had a really good stretch down at the end which helped.
Trap bar dead - 80x10, 120x10, 150x3, x3, x3, x3, x3, x3, x3, x3, x3, x3

Plate lat pull down - 100x10, 100x10, 100x9 straight into 80x5
Arm over arm into sled drag - 125x20m, 125x20, 125x20
