I picked up a cheap bottle of Canadian Club to go with Coke and mixers over the holidays, £15.00 so even if it's blended it's not a massive loss.
1st impressions with Coke and lots of ice.........7/10, I'll update you as we progress. Have decided to buy the Hibiki tomorrow from Tesco at £37.00 for 50cl as a treat.

Ahhhh, good old Canadian Club! Mix it with decent ginger ale over ice for truly lovely wintertime long drink.
If I want scotch whisky to mix, then I tend to go with Bells or JW Red Label although the Red Label can be hard to find in shops nowadays.
I once tried some Suntori at a Duty Free shop in JFK airport.Not my thing but I get why people like it.

Japanese whiskey for me, cannot beat it.
i am not the biggest fan of JD in the world, but tried some of the JD and honey variant over the weekend which was nice.
i haven't tried a Japanese whisky before - is it worth a go? any recommendations? say under £30?
Our Christmas whisky turned out to be the 10 year old Aberlour - nothing spectacular, but nice and smooth and just a bit too much of a session drink especially as it was on offer!
I've yet to see a Japanese whisky under £30.00 tbh
