And Amazon sell them as well.

You're all missing my point. OK, why don't John Lewis or Curry's sell Gaggia's anymore?

On another point, just had another fabulous latte, this time using full fat milk. Using these beans that a friend gave me. Lovely.

They appear to have gone down the Sage, DeLonghi and Krupps routes. I guess they can't stock everything.
FWIW, I get better espresso out of my Sage than I did out of the Gaggia - and they were very good. I just find the Sage easier to work and a bit more consistent.
There may be a manufacturer's restriction as well - happens with lots of things, where a store an only be an authorised dealer for certain brands..

Those Sage's look nice but a bit expensive. Think I'll stick to my DeLonghi for a while till I get used to making coffee this way. At the moment it's a bit of trial and error.

Still having problems frothing the milk. I place the arm of the frother in the middle (depth) of the milk but it rises up quickly, I mean in seconds, say 10. I'm using a jug and fill it a third with milk but it rises up too quickly for me to heat the milk hot enough. Any idea where I'm going wrong?

I usually put the frother to the bottom of the jug/cup and it will make the milk hot with not too much expansion, I then move it towards the top and it expands the froth more

I always start at the top. The trick is to get microfoam, not big bubbles.

There's lots of instructional videos on YouTube, for example:

I think I might struggle to do that with my £100 Delonghi data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
