Ha ha, I had already googled, price runnered, kelkooed, etc, just thought someone might have spotted a bargain that I hadn't! data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I have found some refurbished ones on eBay too, anyone bought one - DELONGHI DEDICA EC680.M 15 Bar Pump Espresso / Slimline Coffee Machine Stainless

I'm just penny pinching as I initially set myself a £100 budget...

The De'Longhi ECC220.R Motivo Espresso Cappuccino Maker is on offer at Argos at the minute, reduced from £140 to £65, is it worth the money or worth spending the extra for the EC608 - Buy De'Longhi ECC220.R Motivo Espresso Cappuccino Maker - Red at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Coffee machines.

Looks like a good deal to me. I'm starting to realise that most machines with pressurised portafilters are much the same and should yield the same quality of brew. It appears "to me" that the more expensive machines don't use pressurised portafilters and use a standard "professional" 58mm portafiler that is harder to master but will, in the end, produce better espresso. That's what I'm lead to believe anyway. So, yes. a good deal.

Had my DeLonghi bean to cup machine for about 18 months now, and couldn't live without it. It was an extravagance, and I rarely use anything other than double long (lungo?) for myself, but if it broke, I do think I'd have to buy another one straight away; it's included on the 'essential' kitchen equipment list (kettle, steamer etc)
It is nice do do a 'special' coffee if we have guests, but to me it's an everyday glugger maker.

It looks very similar to @Inferno's machine, its this one

I've been buying 1kg bags of beans from Costco, and am currently on their own brand (Kirkland) Guatemalan, which is ok, but am looking to try some mail order ones, so I think I'll be trying some of the sites listed here.

Yes indeed that is mine.

Dorset coffee do some nice stuff in KG's I get a lot off him, No1 blend is well nice.

I have it back now they have fixed it and my neighbour took it in for me as I was out today, The grounds drawer has a sticky out bit on the left hand side at the back, it had broken off and lodged in the micro switch so they took it out and replaced the drawer with a new one and replaced the micro switch, then they serviced it for free as it was still in warrenty and returned it, I'm so glad it's back data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7.
