Given what a complete moron Trump is, are there protections in place against him waking up one morning and 'pressing the button'? Does a Nuclear Attack require authorisation from Congress for example?
He cant just push a button as he needs joint authorisation from I think the head of defence, thats assuming it was an immediate threat and thus an immediate retaliatory strike was needed. For pre-empative strikes it will need to go through congress for approval
Pretty sure he has sole discretion on a nuke launch.
