Not a surprise.

China have indicated that they won't intervene if NK starts the aggression.

To be honest if NK are capable of reliably launching a missile in the general direction of Guam let alone be able to hit it I would be extremely surprised.

Still Kim Jung Un is stupid enough to try.Possible scenario, NK launches a missile(s) in the general direction of Guam. The US retaliates with 50 or so cruise missiles at strategic targets, and all will hit.

Kim Jung Un will be humiliated and overthrown (killed) by a would-be dictator waiting in the wings.

All over.

Cheers,

Nigel

Nah, those areas are all worse on a day to day basis. I'll take my changes and enjoy myself until then.

Faslane doesn't get a direct hit from a nuke but Devon gets a high yield device?

Jezza99 Publish time 26-11-2019 02:05:08

I'm really surprised that London is a target; I seem to remember that some Labour Councils declared it a nuclear free zone so I've always felt safe data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I need to check my house insurance...

HMNB Devonport is more than likely the target there.

There is little to gain for China in directly intervening in any conflict that North Korea starts. They'll be waiting in the wings to pick up the pieces. What China doesn't want to see is a unified Korea under the auspices of the United States.

They seem to have made some rapid leaps in rocket science in a relatively short space of time, almost as if somebody is supplying them with the know how.

He's crazy enough to try it. If North Korea launches a Nuclear weapon at Guam or Hawaii, then I'd fully expect the Americans to respond in kind. The US can pummel North Korea into the ground using it's conventional weapons, they don't really need to use a nuclear weapon. But Trump likes bright shiny things so....

He'll be the number 1 target for the US. However we may not even get to the stage where Kim Jong Un launches an attack. The Chinese may well step in and remove him quietly with another Kim for continuity sake. He's got a 29 year old Sister, whose been lurking around in the background. It's unclear if Kim Jong Un's Aunt is still alive.

Not stupid, astute and very nasty. This regime has survived Wars famine and years of international sanctions you don't achieve this by being stupid. There is no reason for North Korea to engage, putting aside China influence, the way they behave is reaction to Iraq and Libya scenarios, the west will either make it up, weapons of mass destruction or if they did engage and disarm, get taken out anyway by the West choosing.
