I'd wager that letting people buy their council houses was the single worst thing Thatcher's government did.

Labour both local and national, me and the wife.
Following the cons crash in 1989 it took over 5 years of Tory policy to get back to the same level.
Cameron openly admits he will change the labour policy on the economy that has seen us start to recover in 18 months. This recovery is fragile. Now is not the time for change.

We haven't had the crash yet!Labour have been spending and spending and spending to keep things stable. But the credit limit has been exceeded, we have huge debt, and we are heading for some very lean times indeed.
A silver lining if the Lib/Labs win tonight is that at least they will have to clear up their own mess.I would hate history to hold the Conservatives responsible for the abyss Britain is about to plunge into.Buckle up for the ride!

Labour are incapable of running this country(except into the ground!)look what damage they have done so far!
The mass Eastern European immigration could have been massively culled if they didn't rush us into Europe, same with not giving us a vote on joining europe etc..
The Tories are just as bad,in fact all the politicians are lying, thieving runts that should be forced to do real work on a working mans wage with no claims,handouts,etc.. for a minimum of 5years before going for parliament!
I'll be voting SNP as usual,a wasted vote, but I couldn't forgive myself for voting either of the 2 main gangs!

Are you rewriting history? it was the Tories that got us into Europe and it wasn't rushed either took something like 6 years.

Do you remember Major pushing for a "hard ECU"(European Currency Unit) ... I recall from (I think) The Mary Whitehouse Experience, a sketch about it with hard ECU coins showing John Major on the head, looking hard data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I have very little memory of Major, life was crap back then. The thing I remember most was vast poverty and new bullet holes in my school windows every fortnight. Over the last 10 years that has changed at least it has here, those who have worked hard are no longer facing the same hardships and well there are no more shootings here lol. It ain't perfect but a hell of a lot better.
