How does the EU define the border between Sweden and Norway - None, Soft, Hard ?
So why don't the EU require a backstop needed in CM2.0 ?

Isn't CM 2.0 basically what was already on offer( may/EU deal),except the UK would have a "say" on trade deals for what that's worth..
Customs is not mentioned, correct. But I would argue that any hard border on the island itself would go against section 6 of the agreement.
Cm 2.0 proposal included both sm access and customs Union, Norway doesn't have that

There are various comments regarding citizens rights to be seen as Irish, amongst other, I believe splitting the island goes against that. Just my opinion though

In what way? And what do you mean by a hard border?
Please do link that back to the section you aforementioned. And then in context of having a border, what rights would be violated?

I had a quick read through and I could still see no hard link between a hard border and the GFA.Instead their are emotional links, which I'm not saying are important, just that they don't have any formal standings.
So relating to the GFA seems almost like a veilled threat.People living near the border have become accustomed to being able to cross over the border whenever and wherever they want and have become somewhat content, despite the deep divisions that exist.If we replace this with a hard border then these people are going to become discontented and will start lobbing bombs around again.
And I'm not saying that this is not important, just that the link between the GFA and Hard Borders is about keeping the peace rather than any contractual agreements.

I agree, and would not be so constraint. Borders can come in many different shapes and sizes, but one thing is guaranteed a border of some sort will be required. That doesn't mean it has to look like barbed wire, dogs, watch towers etc at all....
