The problem is with the deal. You have leaver MPs who don’t like it and obviously the remain MPs don’t like it.
If you had a deal that all the leaver MPs liked it would probably have been voted through by now.

Just remove the backstop arrangement and it would have been agreed. Well that is until the attention is drawn to the other clauses.

You definitely have a point.
Just when I thought they couldn’t get any lower in esteem, some are rallying around a proposal that is bad and they voted against twice. Seriously bad form. That last bit of respect has totally disappeared.

Yup.Very disappointed in JRM if he's bailed.
Much rather a longer extension and a commited (to Brexit) PM have a go.

She's been "trying" to appease everyone. It's the nature of minority government.
The ERG have been dead set against her deal. It's bizarre to say she has specifically been trying to appease them when the evidence shows the exact opposite.

So what you are saying is that rather than appease them, she stood up to them and has managed to bring some of them round?

I'm saying that it's not clear if Mogg supports the deal or not; he seems rather confused or more likely there is another agenda rather than the deal itself.
People have asked, why keep asking the question...because it seems if you keep asking the same question, some people will flip-slop so eventually maybe it will get through?

Cool. So she didn't appease him confirmed.
He has softened from an outright rejection of the deal to a conditional approval.
