Singapore is prosperous, low crime, has excellent schools, excellent health services...People who say we don't want to be like Singapore never seem to say why.
As for a lot of Tory MPs have an admiration for Singapore. So what? There is a lot to admire. But even so, no party is suggesting we move to a model like Singapore.
And if it comes to it, I bet a lot of people would admire Singapore if they knew more about it. It certainly isn't just a Tory thing.
