I'd change the lot. No way of being certain what he's sending is correct or matches the others unless you have a micrometer. Even if the correct gauge it could be a different composition. If he says that's how it arrived I'd maybe drop Crafter a quick email asking for their thoughts.

Just remembered that Da'Addarios are colour coded. The ball of a G string should be green if you still have the old one. But then as I said before, it could be a G from a different gauge/composition.

yeah thanks...have changed them all now so I've the martin ones all round

just checked the old ones....have a purple, red and a black...the rest are not colour coded

cheers again

Definitely something odd there. I guess it's up to you if you want to pursue if further but if that's not right I'd be wondering about the rest. D'Addario's colour coding:

E: Silver
B: Purple
G: Green
D: Black
A: Red
E: Brass

as I said...just got purple...red and black...E is plain steel...unless that's silver? and theres a thick E brass coloured one.
suppose that just leaves the duff G

have messaged the seller about it

cheers

Edit: guitar came straight from factory/uk suppliers so bit of a mystery
..... he's chucking a pack of strings in the post too.

well been playing quite a bit...sounding better the more I play it

....learnt a bit more oasis this morning...morning glory ...sounds particularly good with the crafter over my fender
you can also see the neck is a tadge less wider....might help get to grips with barre chords later

had to order a new stand for my fender....didn't want it feeling left out !

They are both fine looking guitars.

I can definitely see the neck differences in the pictures, and I think it would help as you say.

This year I bought a stand for the guitar I bought last year. Then a stand for the guitar I bought this year. Then I got my old bass out of the wardrobe, gave a stand away and bought a three guitar rack. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Further to this, If my guitar playing can justify it, I have promised myself my dream guitar at the end of the year, at that stage I will need an even bigger rack. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Fortunately I have an understanding wife who likes to see the guitars lined up.

Always good to have your guitars on a stand and easily accessible, makes you much more inclined to pick then up and play them than if they're hidden away somewhere.

hyperfish Publish time 25-11-2019 21:07:20

I agree absolutely. If something on TV or YouTube gets my attention I can grab the guitar and have a go before the moment is lost.

Yeah constantly picking mine up through the day.. First thing in the morning waiting for the kettle to boil.. To just before I go to bed!

Must admit I was tempted by a 3 guitar rack or tripod.. In case I ever get an electric data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
Was looking on Amazon but not many reviews on the ones I was looking at
