I've got the US editions of 1-5 the colored (dj) reprint ones, seem a bit low quality these. Then I'll have 2-5 of the UK slipcased ones, I'm not paying £200 for the first one. I bought the standard UK white hardback of Dragons so I'll get 2, 3 & 4 but again 1 is OOP.

I'll be interested to learn what this one looks like, might be another one to buy.

Not bothering to order any hardbacks as the entire set isn't out. I'd rather get them all in one go, and looking pretty in one set.

Well I have the first book in slipcase and just received all the rest of the books in the post as an early Xmas present. Can't believe how much the first has gone up in price

If you've just finished #3 then I'd have a break before 4. I didn't the first time I read it, and wasn't terribly impressed as a result. Much later I re-read it when 5 was on the way, and loved it.

Someone on the TV forum was mentioning a chronological sequence if you have both books handy. Love to try that!

I think I started 3 and stopped, wanting to recap by using the TV series as such. Over Chrimblemass, I intend to watch the 2nd season of the TV series that I havent watched, and probably read book 2 again to prepare for book 3.

Kind of backwards and longwinded, but I have not touched any Thrones books in the 30 or so books that I have read this year, so need the recap.

They must release the slipcase Game of Thrones again as the cost of the book is ridiculous - there is a copy on eBay with a bumped corner that has reached £225!

I think that made sense drinking until late in the morning and watching Big Bang and Comic Book Men on my iPad as I have a well needed day off tomorrow. Good job really as I would be getting up soon. data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
