Uugh beginning to think this was a mistake, since the remap it’s seems to be doing a DPF regeneration every day if not twice a day, I’ve done 150 miles and the car has regenerated 6 times, it’s going back tomorrow.

you could always remove the dpf, i did the same with my 320d

will slightly improve performance as well

Overfueling? Was it a proper remap bespoke to your car, or someone with a laptop inserting a ready made one?

Which is now an mot failure, any signs of tampering or removal of the dpf is a failure.
I'm not against remaps but don't see the point half the time, you want a faster car, buy a car with more power.

I’m guessing ready made, taking it back today and already put the idea out there of putting it back to stock and a refund.

I had a Shark Performance remap done on my 1.8 TSi 180 a few weeks ago and have been impressed with the way the power surges much lower in the rev band than before.

Noticed that they have a dealer in Manchester, should you wish to try a different garage @GrumpyOldGamer

Can’t do anything at the moment mate, the guy who did it is currently refusing to issue a refund saying it’s a problem with my car not the map, he said it’s a sensor which I know it isn’t.

I’ve had the car put back to standard and now the battle begins to prove the car was ok and it was a bad map that upset the car.

Sorry to hear. Good luck.

Name the tuner so all of us that have tuned our cars can help you. Probably a generic map and false dyno readings printed out for you. If you are not happy with the sold product then a proven tuner would rightfully, and without question refund your money.

GrumpyOldGamer Publish time 24-11-2019 23:18:06

I’ve had VW assist out to confirm there’s nothing wrong with the car and provided a written report, all I can do is present that to the tuner tomorrow and go from there.

I don’t wanna name and shame just yet.
