I know a couple of people who've been to the tikkida gardens resort and said it was a nice hotel.

As I said I wouldn't put Marrakech in a list of places I'd want to visit in my life but for that price its certainly very very tempting. I know there's concerns of terror attacks etc but I genuinely don't think there is a safe place anymore. I could take the wife to London for the weekend and get mowed down by some nutter in a car!

I reckon on average we spend £100 a week on food and the extra on gas etc for the heating so effectively that holiday could cost £250 if you take in to account those two expenses you wouldn't be paying for the week!

However I've got no annual leave left until April

And I've already booked over 50% of next years holidays too

For those sorts of prices though, id go for 3-4 days if the option (on that website) was available.

Just had a look on the Riu website and they've got the Tikida Garden for £480 for the week (accommodation only) and Thomson are offering it for £201 each which includes flights and transfers!!

I'm getting tempted to just take a sickie
