Keep an eye out on Thomson for flights. They have ridiculous long hauls for £250pp return sometimes. Includes Florida, Barbados and Mexico

How is Morocco dangerous? I've not heard of anything untoward there. The TripAdvisor forum is usually worth asking on as there are regulars there who can let you know what the situation is like.

How about Aruba?  Can get good deals on flights and should still be warm this time of year - pretty nice place as well away from the tourist areas.  Can get cheap boats to the nearby islands as well.

Cape Verde is sh*t - nothing there and proper windy...

Morocco is very meh, would rather go to southern Spain.  If you stop outside of Gib there are some nice places

Seems Iceland is pretty safe.
Most of the world has a high threat of terrorism.
One of the highest death tolls of recent times in Europe was in Madrid. 191 deaths. The recent downing of a Russian plane from sharm was 224 deaths, so technically Madrid is slightly less dangerous than Sharm. But the most recent terrorist attack in. Morroco only killed 17.
So basically getting on a plane and leaving the country carries a risk
