Be surprised if Agar makes it to the next match. I can't imagine the other Aussie spinners would be as ineffective - surely they'll make that change. Apart from that, can't see what else they can do. Think there is still plenty to come from England, really not playing at their best yet but doing enough. Cook, Trott, Prior, & KP all need more runs. Broad I think is bowling well without the wickets so not too much of a worry there. Just really hope they keep the same intensity and go for a whitewash, we're due!

So far we've had one side playing sub par against an absolutely awful side.

Is this the pinnacle of Test Cricket?

Granted, we had a great 1st match but that's mainly due to England under-performing. Anderson is great, for sure, and Bell is a good player to watch, but I'm not sure there's anything particularly fabulous about the rest of those on display.

Dunno fella, I'm a massive England supporter and I'm plenty happy just to see us beat the Aussies. Great cricket is bonus for me!

I don't think anyone realised how bad the Aussies have become until they saw  them play. Only one test class batsman amongst them. The rest just look like they've played limited overs cricket for all their careers and have suddenly been asked to bat in a test match out of the blue. Their techniques and temperaments are shocking.

Yeah it's not nice to see for me either, these Aussies getting hammered. Even worse now that they've almost certainly lost and they still have another 3 tests left against England in which they could be further humiliated. The opening test was close because England was sub par IMO, I don't think we'll see a test as close as that for the remainder of the series.

Personally I'd love to see more of a contest as for me that's what sport is all about.  The first test was great but sadly that was more to do with us not really playing that well and the Aussies having a couple of stand out performances.  I can't see anything but a 5-0 thrashing and whether that's the final score line or not is purely down to us.  Australia are just not good enough to beat us if we play anywhere near our best.

I really look forward to the Ashes series and to be fair it's rather dull if we are being thrashed or if the Aussies are being thrashed.  Sadly this looks like a thrashing for the Aussies.  Obviously that's preferable to being the other way round, but I'd still like to see a good sporting contest with some tight 5 day tests.

And it happens again! Another crucial DRS decision that goes against what logic dictates. What's the excuse this time??

It needs scrapping until it can be used properly otherwise you'll end up with more ridiculous controversies like this.

Will say it again: No wonder India are against it.

What a farce, agree with it now needs to be scrapped.

Failing that, no challenges if you didn't hit the ball unless it's when given out LBW off an inside edge. Hold on, that didn't work either.

What a ridiculous decision. The DRS itself is fine, it's the decision making by the third umpires which is at fault. There's nothing to suggest the guy hit it, how the hell does the 3 rd umpire decide there's no evidence to suggest the initial decision was incorrect?

Agreed, DRS didnt make the difference here, without it he would have been out without appeal. Mostly the third umpires have been good but for this series Erasmus and co have been woeful
