Suddenly remembered that I'm in NYC at the end of the month and can pick one up then. Would really like some better upgrades (like a decent "time always displayed" mode) but I wear it all the time and it seems a better upgrade than the 6-7 iphones.

Even with catastrophic exchange rate it still seems like a good deal. Apart from the plug, there's no downside to getting from the states is there?

Well I ordered a 42mm SS with Link bracelet, a Saddle Brown leather strap and a Product Red Sports strap earlier today.

I had been holding out for Version 2, so decided to commit and jump in.

Have a Matt Black iPhone 7 Plus 128 gig en route too - early Christmas presents ! Thats my excuse.......

I've been wanting an Apple Watch and held fire when I heard the new one was coming out. Looking at the watch I want (38mm, Space black, Milanese loop) it comes out as £699. Silly question, but is that quite a bit more expensive than the original when it came out?

I'm currently working in Canada and looks like I can get it for £556 at the moment, so may well have to splash out

I think Brexit accounts for around 13 to 15% of the price increase unfortunately.

Happy they kept the same design as still happy with my series 1. Although will be interested to see how much faster it runs. Looking forward to Watch OS 3 though which will make it feel new again.
