Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Announced (2017)

Picked up one of these today, is HDR available on the Amazon video app yet? I can't see anything about HDR from in the app at all.

I don't think so, however I noticed that when I was looking through Samsungs own Galaxy Apps store that their description of Amazon Prime Video says "Stream or download popular TV shows and movies, including The Grand Tour in HDR" but I can't see that it obviously is HDR

Im considering changing my Google Pixel C tablet for one of these, whats everyones overall impression of it so far please?

Liking ours, disappointed there is no streaming service thats enabled use of the HDR screen though, its a quick tablet and performs well, the speakers are also a nice addition and much better than Samsungs previous.

I've noticed today in the UK anyway, that the Amazon Prime Video App now offers HDR and Ultra HD for a limited number of series, seems to work really well, Netflix is expected to make UHD/HDR available on Android later in the year.

Like has been said though it needs to be installed via Galaxy Apps, not the Play Store.

I was just about to update my post as I updated tonight for the first time in a few weeks and Amazon now shows HDR content, also checked my old Tab S Amazon app and it doesn't show any HDR so its definitely correct, so I had a watch of The Grand Tour and it looked very nice indeed.

Thanks, so are the speakers plenty loud enough? That was always a complaint for me on the Tab S2 - lovely tablet but so limited on the volume

I would say so, having had an ipad pro 12.9 with superb speakers this is not far off that.

Has anyone noticed a strange sound issue when using SkyGo? I'm struggling to describe it but it almost sounds like interference sounding like clicking.

It seems to clear if I come out of a channel and back in but its really annoying and wondered if its specific to the Tab S3...
