Yeah of course. Nvidia slides are fun but its all gonna be clear once those benchmarks deluge when they hit market. I think its all really exciting if you have the cash to chuck at it. Otherwise lots of fun for myself to be had stepping up to higher frame rates and sticking at 1440p

I'm not that bothered about moving from high to ultra at 1440p and only have a 60htz monitor, I'm far more interested in what the dedicated hardware will do and how it affects things. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Also a real shame 3d vision died, but also it seems VR seems to have not been important in this release. Was only recently that we all thought that would be the next big thing, perhaps oculous et al haven't kept that moving fast enough.

you know... in terms of looks 1440p looks just fine on my TV. i suppose my concern is that (ii dont know about 1440p) but at 1080p the tv does the scaling and it has apparently over 60ms lag.

at native 4k it is meant to be 20ms.
so that iis the main reason i would like to get 4k running 60fps.

that said i am ussing 1440p now and it feels ok to me so..................

funnily enough i actually think ray tracing will be of far more importance in vr than on a screen.

baked in lighting and all the other tricks used on monitor games simply do not work in vr.

i am biased for suire but i do not think vr will be dying this time on pc.  i just hope ps5 still gets a new vr hmd.

You could always set the card to scale to 4K in the control panel or an AVR if you have one?

It's a load of unfounded rubbish as normal. It's a niche product in that it's ultra high-end and priced to suit but they do not sell badly at all

Eh? I suppose that VirtualLink port on the back was just for show then. They already have all the features included in VRWorks inherited from the Pascal line. The rest is in the hands of developers. Seriously, what more did you expect them to add for VR?
