If you take the trouble to look at the recent WHO report on links between red meat and colon cancer, whats screams out is that all this stuff that is fashionable to berate i.e. E numbers, preservatives, etc.., they are not the villains as they're simple compounds and thoroughly tested. It's actually the meat itself that contains 100's of carcinogenic compounds.

Do I need to Google that for you?

Perhaps the addition of a funny/joking smiley would have been useful then in Steakandcake's post, thus removing any ambiguity?

I assumed he wasn't trying to be funny and it appears he was criticising another Moderator for justifiably removing another member's posts.

Back on topic I don't go out my way to buy organic - tends to be packets of breakfast cereals and the like here and I prefer the normal cereal packets like I have had since I was a kid. My mum always told me there was more nutrition in the cardboard box than the contents

We have four chickens for the eggs and those beat anything from a supermarket hands down. Ours have a free range area of about 120 square metres. So 30 square metres per chook. Average egg size is around 70-90 grams and we get an average of 3 per day 7 days a week.

Strange how I managed to get moderated when discussing organic vegetables, in an organic vegetables thread.  My goodness!

No worries agreeing an icon would probably have helped.

....yes, one post referred to organic vegetables, however the second was a YouTube video showing caged hens, with the comment added by you of 'lovely meat'.

One cancelled out the other.

Not sure what is wrong with either.  The YouTube video was of a modern caged hen farm.  Most people don't know tat battery farming is now banned in the uk.  I don't buy caged hen meat, because I don't like how they are kept.  I showed a video of how they are kept.  What is wrong with this??!!!

I guess posting videos of poor working conditions in third world countries and stating.  "Great conditions", when in fact it is true would also get moderated?  Reason being??
