I'm tempted to try that, is that £37 for 50cl though, had a quick look online and it doesn't seem that cheap, 70cl would be good though.

I know the stuff that I like, but I'm not entirely sure which catagories they fit into..

eg I don't like Teachers, Bells etc.  What I think of as Scotch Whiskey.
I do like Jamesons, J&B and some bourbons ie Jack Daniels, Jim Beam.
I'm also partial to a Glenfiddich and Glenmorangie on occasion, but they wouldn't normally be my first choice..

So I think I like bourban and Irish blended whiskies...  But I'm not sure..  Thoughts?

It is.

Not sure if that's true of all single grain whiskies, but not one I'll be drinking again.

I have the same problem with wine. Sometimes I find a really good bottle, think I will have to get that again, then never note down what it was.

Lol ! Its just a group of lads in the village who get together once a month to drink whiskey! We take turns hosting and the host buys the whiskey of their choice. We all throw in a £5 to help cover the cost (there could be up to 10 of us) and there's usually some food as well at "half-time". Typically we get through 2 bottles in an evening. Last session there was 7 of us that got through 2 and half bottles !!!
