Finally ordered my pizza oven, from pizzaovensupplies.co.uk for £495 all in (a significant chunk of that being delivery ). So now I'm on with building the base, which will also extend out in to a kitchen/built in BBQ area. The oven doesn't arrive until the 29th June so I should be able to get it all done by then...

I'll post some photos, if anyone's interested in that sort thing (should probably start a new thread, instead of hi-jacking this one!)

Feel free to hijack this one, it keeps it all in one place and makes it more interesting.
You can also nick my ideas/designs too if you want.

Don't under estimate the weight of it, its effing heavy.

You say that like I haven't already totally ripped off your base design

Cool, I'll post some photos when there's something worth looking at

While I'm here, does anyone have any suggestions for worktop alternatives? I'll have two sections, approx 600mm x 600mm - I'm looking for paving slabs or something similar to fill the spaces. Seen lots of nice ones but they're only available in crates/bulk

Something I've been considering is a concrete worktop. Add colour, stone or glass.

This is something I've considered quite a bit, just seemed like a of effort for relatively small areas. If I was covering the full 2m for the "kitchen" area I probably still would, but seems much easier and cheaper to find some slabs ... if I can find some

I'm flattered.

Looking forward to the photos, just hope it isn't better than mine.

I bought a used marble (or was it granite?) fireplace hearth for about a tenner and cut it to size with an angle grinder and diamond disc.

A steady weekend, almost finished the pizza oven base, just need to put another supporting block in the middle. But I got bored/tired and thought I'd plan out the BBQ/Kitchen area [emoji23]

It's worth noting, I work in IT and I'm not great at this!

He works in IT, so it's based on the cells in an Excel spreadsheet.  Pizza_oven.xlsx perhaps?
