Went to a kids birthday party in Essex today, there was a little deli next door so picked up these. Both brewed in Essex (the Saffron Brewery).

The EPA (Elderflower Pale Ale) I had a pint of, it was served a little too cold but you still got a lot of elderflower on the nose but not too overpowering. The other I didn't try but a bitter with hints of toffee and caramel can't be too bad.

Ill drink a bit of anything except the Heineken's/carlsbergs/Budweisers as they can be a bit gassy in quantity. Prefer lower alcohol beers too, ales around 3.5% to 4% go down very well.

Rarely drink beer, usually just on holiday and on Christmas do's when I was working

Just back from a week in St Ives, where I drank some Doom Bar - well, about 3 gallons when I work it out . Not a bad bitter .

Both the tangle foot and the hopping hare were just average. Too gassy for my liking.
