So compromise to you means a complete refusal to change anything? Strange definition of compromise which to my understanding means both sides giving and taking and finding some middle ground - ground which you have just said does not exist in the eyes of the EU bureaucrats.

So you admit that talking about a compromise is a waste of time due to the EU's position of refusal to accept anything other than the status quo. So you therefore have to support a decision to walk away and trigger "hard brexit".

No surprise, but she is walking the green mile, the method of her demise is yet to be determined. But one can dream of Rees Mogg or Johnson getting full control of the Tory party.

A Tangerine Dream?

Of course her days are numbered, no need to keep bleating about it.

It’s the EU that has directed member states to ban credit card charges.  And Tory Government has shown autonomous thinking and then implementing into policy which further enhances EU directive on credit card charges while being a member state of the European Union. So not so bad this EU malarkey.
An EU directive gave birth to more good independent policy, i guess is what you are trying to convey.

This has been pointed out many times and I'll add to the number:

WE HAVE NOT YET LEFT THE EU

So we have to implement all EU directives otherwise heavy penalties will be enforced.

I know we have not left, but  all the same an EU directive gave birth to more good independent policy by a member state, i guess you are also trying to convey the same.
Unless you dispute what our own Government added to the EU directive on Credit Card Charges?

I'm not sure what point you want to make.

Thy UK didn't grudgingly implement this just because the EU made them. They looked carefully, performed a very effective consultation exercise, and introduced a better, broader law than the EU required.

Is your point that the UK can't implement good laws without the EU? Or that we won't look out for our citizens interests without the EU?
