So, I think the issue of antisemitism in the West (be it the UK, Europe or North America), is of far greater concern than what one particular UK political party's own special nut jobs decide to do or not do in relation to this.  As such, I thought I'd open up a debate on the evidential rise of anti-semitism over the last few years in the West.

Be it increasing attacks on Jewish graves and cemeteries in the UK and Europe, increasing anti-semitism in online media, mainstream media and social media, or increasing acceptance of a US President and his supporters and cheerleaders unwilling or unable to distinguish between the abhorrent anti-semitism of white supremacists and the (often violent) ant-fascist groups looking to protest against them, this is a worrying trend.

So what is causing this increasing boldness from those denying the holocaust or looking to attack and abuse our Jewish friends, colleagues, neighbours, fellow citizens?

Here's some links to information to get things going:

The last one has some interesting numbers in it:

The survey shows that in 2016, 55.98% of Poles surveyed would not accept a Jew as a family member which is an increase from 45.53% in 2014. 32.20% of Poles surveyed would not accept a Jew as a neighbor which is an increase from 26.70% in 2014. And 15.1% would not accept a Jew as a co-worker, up from 10% in 2014. According to a study by the Pew Research Center in 2016 24% of Poles surveyed have a negative perception of Jews.

According to the Pew Research Center as of Spring 2016, Greeks have the most unfavourable views of Jews of any country in Europe. 55% of Greeks surveyed for the study had a negative opinion of Jews.15The Pew Research Center study released in 2014 stated that 47% of Greeks surveyed in 2014 had an unfavorable opinion about Jews.

The Pew Research Center study of 2016 found that 32% of Hungarians surveyed have a negative opinion of Jews.17 According to an additional survey, which was carried out on behalf of the Action and Protection Foundation (TEV) Antisemitism in Hungary has grown over the course of 2016, with the survey tying antisemitic attitudes with growing xenophobia in the country.

Because one main stream political party, Labour, in the U.K. has been actively normalising it. Similar to other left leaning organisations all around, which then in turn gives the previously significantly reduced right wing nut jobs a sense of approval to go at it again.

Or in short; because some human beings don’t like taking responsibility for their own pathetic lives and prefer to blame others.

Tough subject....The reason afaict is the same historical one,,,Anger ,,,,just badly misdirected as always mixed with the fact that people are unhappy with the status quo.
Events fade in history but we see that they always seem to repeat themselves (England expelled all jews about 800 years ago) but in times of strife certain people look to blame someone and while the belief that the Jews control the money is held they will always be blamed for a lot of things...

just my take on why nothing else

TBH this rise is anything and everyone that does not appeal to this populist generation of politics . One has to have a villain to scare the public into submission.  Although the US administration it seems is taking a significant stand in the right direction when it appeals to their own needs .

Whilst I would some what agree and indeed agreed , American conservative evangelical Christians Have a big voice and say that drowns out said people. So halfway house would be needs of the administration backed up by very powerful religious allies/organisations in the US ?

Cheers as you are quite right to pull me up on it .

Ideally that should be the same when a democratically elected clear majority winning president is in power

Without derailing the thread, the size of the majority has nothing to do with it.  The Administration is still there to serve the will of the people, not the other way around.
