That's not just an observation, that's just inventing a contradiction when none exists.
I'm in favour of controlled migration as this will lead to better conditions and pay for the low paid in particular.
I'm in favour of market forces dictating pay and conditions, although with some protections (minimum wage and workers rights).
There is absolutely no contradiction there. Reducing the supply of labour improves the bargaining power of workers to get a better deal, giving the outcome of better pay and conditions. |
