Well I agree with you on that.   Unfortunately, Labour have had 13 years to re-establish our manufacturing industries,  and have failed, instead they decided to get in bed with the bankers,  who have now hung them out to dry.

I've just checked the 97 Labour manifesto and there is only one specific promises as far as I could see;

Well it's working at my fathers firm, thought it was going to shut down a year and a half ago. Proposed that a 120 would lose their jobs made around 60 redundant. 3 months later was flooded with work. Today the firm is open 24 hours 7 days a week, everyone who was made redundant is back. He has so much work he's actually having difficultly get enough steel. This is proper manufacturing work making parts for the likes of Caterpillar, volvo, even the US Army and other firms that require parts for moving heavy things.

For me, no, you appear to be imposing a false dichotomy in that if I don't fully agree with your posts then I must be Labour.

I'm not, I just don't see the point of regurgitating sloppy political points with very little thought behind them.

Gutted. Stupid out of hours changes keeping me stuck here unable to cast my vote...

I can't express my frustration fully, otherwise my post would just be a sea of asterisks...

Oh please.  You was the one who implied I was from conservative HQ,  I've never implied that you support Labour.

You made a point about Labour's supposed longest period of economic growth, I made a counter-point to refute your claim.   It's a discussion forum you know, these things happen.  If you disagree with my points, then show me the error of my ways,  I'm happy to be proven wrong.  So far,  you've just made crass whiney comments.

Well that's great to hear,  and as with all recessions, some companies prosper and some fail.  My fear, is that due to the measures taken, we haven't really experienced the recession in this country yet, and when we do,  it will hurt a lot more than people think.  I hope I'm wrong.

I'm not being physically restrained, but it would be unprofessional of me to leave partway through a major change whilst it's going pear-shaped...
