I just pointed out that British people don’t integrate when they live abroad as a comparison.
I guess the issue with this is that some immigrants don’t speak English.
People might find this outrageous, but I’m sure there are a fair number of Brits living in Spain who don’t speak Spanish, so do people have the same views about Brits living abroad?
I think generally the younger generations tend to learn English, and I do agree in principle with your point.
Really? Pretty sure my high street has a Chinese, Mexican, Indian, a Pizza hut, Halal butchers, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, someone must be keeping them all in business. Have we ever demanded Saudi Arabia has churches and pubs?
We are talking about people moving to another country to live.
But as per your example, have British immigrants ever demanded Christian churches are built in say India? I rest my case
As someone who has lived in 17 countries, yes people generally have the same views. Showing the respect to speak the local language is very important. And not many countries provide their services in multiple languages.
