I will never stop supporting Isis, hate preacher Anjem Choudary pledged
Anjem Choudary, the hate preacher released from prison on Friday, pledged that he would never forsake Islamic State, it has emerged.
He was said to have been recorded saying it was his duty as a Muslim to give his allegiance to the group and its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
Choudary, 51, made the declaration shortly before he was jailed for urging support for the terror group. He was released last week after serving less than half of his five-and-a-half year sentence and has been moved to a bail hostel in London.
In a recording released by The Sun on Sunday, he spoke about Baghdadi: “As Muslims we have no choice but to support the Islamic State. We don’t have any choice but to give allegiance to the caliph and to say that he in fact is the caliph — we have to obey him.”
He added: “It is not a question of whether we chose to support IS or not — it is a matter of Islamic responsibility and duty for every Muslim to give their allegiance to the caliph and obey him if he orders them to do something.” |
