So we send loads more British citizens over to achieve what exactly?

It's horrible and home office advice should be to return home from the region if possible but I don't see how sending troops over would help

You will let my comment go? Lol thanks boss!

Fact is we won't agree. So best us not comment on this with each other.

Fact is your view is all about how it affects us etc? Mine is how it affects others! It's not right and we should DO SOMETHING to help.

May be if your son lost his head your views would change? Just because it does not affect you daily in your opinions does not make it right.

We help in hati after tsunami, we helped in USA after trade centres, and New Orleans. We help as we can and it's right.

This is what makes Great Britain great. This is what makes us world leaders and not some insular country.

Sending aid and helping with air strikes isn't enough? Send more aid, we didn't risk our citizens lives to help in the examples you have used

I'm all for helping where we can without risking turning the whole Muslim world against us, from where I am sitting IS are "using" the Muslim religion as some kind of front for their actions, so surely the Muslim States should be getting involved.

As for it being my son, perhaps if you post up some proof of you being in the army and being one of the potential victims of your thoughts I might be more persuaded, it's easy to be an armchair soldier.

Saudi have an army of around 150k troops and over 600 combat aircraft, why not put pressure on them to do something

I tried to join all 3. Can't on medical! I tried Ta same story! What's your reason?

If your worried about going to war don't join the forces! It's simple.

Also you keep saying it will turn all Muslims against us? Wrong many are against them hence fatwa! Most want rid of them but can't hence agreement with John Kerry as a coalition treaty!

You say they are not hear (apart from the 200   that we know of being radicalised)?

Edit like I said we have not agreed to air strikes. Only servalance!

As I mentioned I think we should OFFER TROOPS but dofo air support as that is something

My reason is that it's not you or your son going to get sent to war so trying to make out that if it was my son being beheaded I'd change my mind wasn't exactly fair...

Your still missing the point, there is a Muslim States with all of the technical capabilities and an army much larger than ours but they don't see fit to be doing anything about it, so fatwa or not I don't see the support for it you are claiming.

If be happy for us to OFFER as much support as is needed to stop what's going on, but I wouldn't start a war with Syria over it as that could get very messy for all

Yes it could especially with the black fleet based there! That's the only reason we have not gone so far! I would not want that either as your not talking a a small affair their your taking big hitters on all sides. That said syria don't want IS as for as I am aware

If Syria don't want them then why aren't they asking for the same support that Iraq has asked for (so much so that they would treat any involvement by the west as an act of aggression)

I'm not being funny, I agree with your sentiments just not what your actions would be. In my opinion it needs to be a joined up effort between the west and the Middle East rather than us pushing our unwanted thoughts on the Middle East again. Even if the Middle East States contribute less militarily, it needs backing IMO - I don't think that is irrational or make me a bad human being

No i am not saying that. I think there need to be a collaborative approach. Not unilateral.
This subject tis very provoking as obvious everyone has an opinion and no one is necessarily right. I just want something done and people less worried about winning their next vote

I doubt they would have to worry about their next vote if a collaborative approach is taken, I don't think the majority of people would be against helping out resolving the situation

What people seem to have an issue with, is us blindly following America in attacking the Middle East when there is seemingly no plan to stabilise the area. People are learning from their mistakes in the past where we have been and effected a short term stabilisation because there isn't an agreement it's needed it doesn't last and we end up back where we are now.

No i get that. Sure there needs to be a plan. Worse than inaction is foolish action with no strategy in place
