All well and good, but only if Germany decide to keep supporting these failed countries that won't reform in to the EU of tomorrow.
I honestly don't think Merkel will have much stomach for another term, although she says she will stand now.

She is miles ahead even after losing 10pts in the polls, the only way she doesn't stand is if her party remove her from leadership (unlikely). The opposition have not managed to gain any support, the 10pts she's lost is to the newly formed AfD. All things considered she is still 15pts clear of the opposition giving her a very healthy lead. She'll lose her majority in the Bundestag, but that is typical in Germany, where a majority is rare, it's only occurred once (when she managed to get 40% of the popular vote in 2013) since reunification.

Ironically, if there was ever a referendum where the voters truly didn't understand just what it was that they were voting for...
