Young people are more likely to vote Remain than Leave, so the inclusion of a 13-18 age group eligible to vote in forum polls might have the potential to shift the forum polls in favour of Remain.   In reality, we have very few young members and I'm not aware of any participating in the Brexit Forum.   I'm not sure what point you are trying to make because all I was doing was pointing out that the Forum is not representative of the General Public, being as it is biased towards Leave, for whatever reason. This is something I'd have thought Remainers would be pleased to have acknowledged?

PS Unless you're suggesting that the Forum is representative of the General Public, because we're all over 65?

I doubt it.
Given the general apathy towards politics, I can see these getting one of the lowest turnouts in history.

In the last few weeks, every time the various news TV/Radio outlets interview the general public on both sides, the overwhelming feeling is of apathy and many saying they won't ever vote again.

And that's one of the worst things about how things have gone. It's not good for anyone if people are disengaged from politics and think it's pointless to vote.

But good news for those who will be highly motivated single issue voters, as they will have more influence.

I think the local elections will be a good indicator of the level of apathy we are likely to see...

I'm expecting an absolute shocker in the Locals. My card came through the other day. Looking at my candidates, they'll be lucky in my area if it's a 10% turnout!!

No forum can be representative of the general public. My point is that you cannot make any assumptions about the age of forum members.

To re-iterate:  My original post was intended to address whether Remainer's complaints that the forum members are biased towards Leave. I looked at various forum polls and concurred that this is true. I conceded that for some reason, members on here are biased towards Leave. I  concluded that age could not be an issue, so why are you still going on about it?

Or do you just like arguing with anyone you think might be a Leaver?
