Voting in the EU is not as easy as the UK, that is working out where to put the X. There are too many faction and alliances that control the EU and a vote along party lines for the UK may find you actually supporting something different in the EU.
Once again I need to look to see where my MEP is now and what the other offer in where they are in alliances. Problem is as well, a lone voice in that cacophony of rule makers and rule benders is often no use. Meaning a sticking it to the man, the man don't notice.
Voted other as I have no clue at the moment.
Edit. The abstain/spoil paper option. There is no real benefit apart from personal feeling in this. There is no meaningful count of spoilt paper (a mention at the end of the count when returning officers mention the number) and until voting is made compulsory, and "none of the above an option", it will never mean a thing. And I have spoiled voting papers in the past. |
