At 16 I would not have given a toss about voting. However watching my children and their peers it surprises me how much more engaged their generation is in politics than mine was. I wouldn't write off lowering the voting age on the grounds of maturity.
Yikes...I'd file that under "be careful what you wish for".
Not sure how much I'd extrapolate from that. This forum, and particularly this section, is dominated by right wing views, so it's unsurprising that the Conservative vote would rank so highly here. |
