I thought that was weird because the current issue is Vol 5

They are'nt released in order ie: issue 1 was Spiderman which is actually vol 28 and so on. Issue 6 released next is Thor and is vol 5 in the collection. Check the spine of each one and there will be a number to indicate the volume.
