Ah, you don’t buy such cars for good fuel economy. My current one is a Mercedes AMG

To some perhaps...not to me...If I want good fuel economy I'll go for a Tesla or something like that...Saying that, that has the performance as well...

But seriously performance and fuel economy to me is simply not a factor...It will cost what it will cost to enjoy yourself...Just like brakes, tyres, suspension etc will all be costing more

And does anybody have the balls to own one outside of the warranty period?

If the price is right second hand, oh yes most definitely...But I think that is where the well documented German brands have an advantage. The internet is great at finding 'cheap' fixes...Never forgot that coils for my V12 were like £750 or something...Yet if I bought two packs of BMW 525i coils for a grant total of £180 I had the exact same product except packaged differently.

Same for the automatic suspension that started leaking, great tips to get the parts from Citroen for 1/4 of the price....There is a lot of ingenuity for well established brands...

I expect a Stinger to become very very cheap second hand...Not initially, there will be crazy prices...But the value will drop very much so...

Another Autocar "exclusive", i.e. we made it up.

almost reminds of the Porsche 4 door in the sense that it would (imo) look much better as a 2 door model (if it doesn't already exist)...

Would have the faster version over any VW group alternative! Fast in a straight line but nose heavy, over priced and driven by mostly ignorant drivers. My son test drove one and loved it, he also test drove a 3 and 4 series, C class and a Jaguar XE. The Stinger in his opinion was the best car and that’s more important than the badge IMHO. He actually settled on a Alfa Romeo Giulia in the end which absolutely loves.
