Top Gear have both the Stinger and i30N on this week, should be interesting to see what they think of them.

M140i 340bhp 369ft/lb, 0-60 4.8 seconds

Auto does the 60 sprint in 4.6 which shows just how quick they are compared to other hot hatches.

Yup, the BMW 135i, Audi S3, VW Golf R, Mercedes A45 seriously moved on the hot hatch segment with as standard all sub 5s cars. But even more so, with minimal tuning they can all easily be turned into sub 4s cars, in a 5 door family hatchback.

That is not to say the others aren't fun to drive, it just that they aren't really that hot. Hence the 'hyper hatch' term started being used to be able to distinguish from the 'gti' classes.

Will be interesting to see how the BMW does, once they've gone to the 2.0 litre engine (like the Audi and Golf)
My mate loves his 135....in the dry [emoji16]

Might as well be a 116i in the wet on run flats. Its a shame there dropping the 3 litre from the 1 series as its a little crazy having that engine under the hood. I'm not sure what to get next as I love the silky smooth flat 6 and bags of torque on tap, its hard to beat considering its price tag.
The new M130i will be 4wd but it needs more then 300bhp to keep with the competition.

Stock suspension is too comprised for track use, its more a GT car than sports car. Use to track my Elise 111S and would get another Elise, MX5, mk3 MR2 if I started doing track days again.

Would be a laugh taking it on track considering most the time its doing nursery drop offs, shopping and the work commute.
