What do you think these problems will have to the residuals for my Audi Q3 177 Tdi. Really thought about keeping it and making the balloon payment at the end of the lease. Might have to kick that idea into the long grass now, 20 months of the lease left. What's a Volvo XC60 like????

It will all blow over like a puff of smoke     Seriously though, I don't think anyone will care in a year or so. From a consumer point of view nothing has changed, this is about them fiddling tests, the real life usage is still the same, unless Governments change the tax breaks. As this is more about NO than CO2 it may not affect the UK at all.  people who are saying they won't buy VW again need to get a life.  I hope I am correct

VW scandal: 1.2m UK vehicles affected - BBC News

So mine could be a part of it, if they are offering a refund then I might be interested, it's a company car and I have since been promoted and know that the new list has some rather nice options

Well if my Audi A4 Black Edition (2.0L 177) 2015 is affected and the recall fix hits any element of performance, i'm going to be pushing for handing back the keys (on lease) and some form of refund due to being miss sold. Partially in related to the deposit amount i paid.

It'll be a Ford Kuga or Nissan Qashqai next, officially bored of cars now after owning 320Ds or A4s. I actually enjoy driving my wifes Ford Focus (2014) more than any other VAG ive had.

Snap, people can't believe I'm happy with a Nissan Juke after decades of Audi/BMW.
It's transport, it keeps the rain off, it goes as fast as the car in front, it's £44 a week.
Nuff said.

Not sure i'd go as far as a Juke, that car really is a required taste

Definitely though, i could afford a Mercedes E Class AMD Night Edition as they're on offer currently but i just can't be bother with them anymore. Particularly when the difference per month is around £130/£140 between the likes of that and a Kuga / Qashqai.

I didn't seek one, but it turned into a no-brainer.
I emailed the lease company with a £200 (incl VAT) budget and they sent me a list.
It was the usual run-of-the-mill spec Fiestas and stuff.
Or £176 a month for a Juke with leather/satnav/heated seats/cruise/DAB/auto lights etc.etc.
I can forgive the looks for the spec (plus I'm enjoying being slightly higher up).

Sounds top, same with my wifes Ford Focus. It's one of the top range models of the range, only costs us £145 a month INC VAT (Was a deal on at the time), fantastic car and allot of fun to drive.
