The Salem Witch Trials dated from 1692 - 1693. Shane West's character was supposed to have returned home from the French and Indian War, which dated from 1754 - 1763. Giles Corey was stoned to death in 1692 not 1763. In no part is this show accurate. The blatant historical fallacies are an insult to the intelligence of any viewer.
People imprisoned, tortured and murdered their neighbors and friends with literally no evidence or due process. For reals. That period in American history would make for great, bloody entertainment just by telling it honestly. So why with all the BS filler?
And don't even get me started on the corny 'witchcraft' SFX.
Either the writer is so stupid he really didn't notice that his show is taking place in the wrong century, or he thinks you are.
