Well, I did enjoy watching Gantz, but.... its painfully slow. In a typical scene, the robot is coming! And someone is about to shoot the gun! Then, the robot is coming! And someone is about to shoot! After that, the robot is coming! And someone is about to shoot it! And the robot is still coming! And someone hasn't shot it yet but they are about to! And here comes the robot! The gun is about to go off! That sums up pretty much every episode, and there must have been at least 30% of this meaningless fill in every episode. These scenes just overstretched the sense of tension to the point of snapping. Plenty of better anime out there.
